The Permian Panthers grabbed seven spots on the All-District 2-6A boys basketball team, including three superlative honors.

Senior guard Genuwine Powell was named Player of the Year, while sophomore guard Shy Stephens-Deary was Newcomer of the Year and Tim Thomas was Coach of the Year. The Panthers went 27-8, repeating as district champions and reaching the Region I-6A Tournament for the second year in a row.

Permian’s Nakavieon White and Jonathan Anaya were voted to the first team, while Cedric Baty and Keyonta Johnson were second-team selections.

Odessa High had three players earn all-district honors. Senior Kaleb Murry was a first-team selection, while senior Ryan Brazeal and sophomore Christian Tijerina made the second team.
