“The Legends of Texas High School Football” will spotlight Permian High School when it airs Tuesday on FOX Sports Southwest.

Jeff Power, who owns Jeff Power TV Productions LLC, said “The Legends of Texas High School Football The Permian Panthers Story” will air at 7 p.m. Tuesday. It will be rebroadcast multiple times and an extended version will be available on DVD after that.

Power said it was surprising that so much attention was accorded the 1988 Permian season because of the movie “Friday Night Lights.”

“This documentary will tell the rest of the story,” Power said. He added that it will be a positive story that will cover everything from when the high school opened in 1959 to the present day.
